The Association’s annual coffee morning, held on Saturday June 22nd, was a success in spite of clashing with two other significant charity events.
More than 85 people came to enjoy coffee and ……………mmmm, croissants or pains au chocolat, which were filling the hall with that French aroma even as people were coming in.
‘Nice to have a wee change!’ was one comment heard, as groups and individuals tucked in before considering the delights of home baking that were on offer or looking at the bric-a-brac. The raffle was tempting, with its array of liquid and other prizes, and the bottle stall, too, where it would have been possible to win five bottles or cans for only £1.00.
‘It’s been a good morning’, said one committee member,’ with a steady flow of customers. Very pleasant!’
